L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges

L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges (40 Rue de la Plage, 69660 Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or) – this is one of the best restaurants in the Lyon area (with three Michelin stars). Dishes served here include sea bass stuffed with lobster mousse in a puff-pastry shell, thyme-roasted rack of lamb, Beaujolais winemaker’s sherbet, and truffle soup (which the restaurant’s top chef, Paul Bocuse, made for French president Valéry Giscard d’Estaing back in 1975).
